Postulancy

The postulancy is a necessary stage for adequate preparation for the novitiate. During this stage, the postulant reaffirms her determination to convert through the progressive transition to Franciscan life.

The postulant, accompanied by the teacher, continues her human, Christian and vocational development. She began the study of Franciscan spirituality and the Congregational charism (cf. CCGG 151).

It is a stage of intense search for the deep motivations of the heart to be a Franciscan.
