Madre Humilde del Niño Jesús

She was born in the ranch of La Concepción, Guanajuato, Mexico, on March 17, 1895. 

Her parents Don Eleno Patlán and Doña Cruz Sánchez, knew how to educate their daughter, giving her an example of a solid Christian life. The first years of her study were carried out in the boarding school of the Missionary Carmelite Sisters of Santa Teresa.

She was baptized on May 27 of the same year, and received the name:   María Patricia Madgalena.

She entered the Congregation of Franciscan Sisters of the Immaculate Conception on February 17, 1912. Upon receiving the holy habit on May 18 of that same year, she received the name of Sor Humilde Patlán del Niño Jesús de Praga.

She observed temperance through expiration, fasting and abstinence, having only what was necessary, he always dominated his character, accepting everything for the love of God.

She guarded his senses to uphold chastity by instituting a practice of corporal penance for each day of the week and practicing discipline twice a week.

In obedience, she showed due reverence and submission to her superiors, she promoted the spirit of obedience among the sisters.

She fell asleep in the Lord on June 17, 1970 in the city of Veracruz, leaving a reputation for Holiness among the people who knew her.
